Question:
Answer:
You don’t feel saved because you are not sure if you are saved or not, which means you are not. If you were saved, you would be in a close personal relationship with God, talking with Him all the time, and allowing Him to talk to you through His Word. And the relationship would be growing every day, as you spend more time in this communication. You would know without a doubt that you are a sinner, unable to save yourself, but totally dependent on God to save you. And you would know, through studying the Bible, that Jesus had bridged the gap between you and God on the cross, caused by your sins, and that salvation is a free gift, although it cost Jesus His life. Therefore, you would be rejoicing in His love, praising Him for His grace, and looking forward with great expectation to His Second Coming, to meet Him face-to-face, and spend eternity with Him. That is how you should be, if you are saved. Are you? If not, start that relationship immediately!
Philippians 2 12 … work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
John 17:3 “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
John 17:23 (NLT) “I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.”
Romans 3 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified
freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
2 Corinthians 5:21 For He (God the Father) made Him who knew no sin (Jesus) to be
sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Ephesians 2 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
John 5:24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.”
Make time in your day (every day!) to meet with Him. Usually, this will mean getting up earlier than normal, a lot earlier, and talking with Him. And allowing Him to talk to you through His Word, the Bible. The more serious you are about the relationship, the better it will become. Why should we treat God any different from a human relationship? Time and talking, that is the way! And soon you will be growing in your relationship with Him, and the spark will once again grow into a fire in your heart.
God bless as you get to know your God intimately, and become assured of your salvation!
