Question:
Answer:
As human beings, we have only two choices, either we follow God completely, or we follow the devil. Some people think that there is another choice, to do your own thing, but that is a deception. If we reject God, we automatically accept the devil and his work. And then, a step further, is selling your soul to the devil, which means that you make a bargain with the devil, to give you riches, or fame, or whatever, but in exchange you will do exactly what he asks you to do. You are therefore possessed completely by the devil, and no longer do anything you want to, only what he orders you to do. And it is very difficult to get out of the devil’s clutches, once he has you, so don’t try it!
You have not deliberately made a deal with the devil, but I don’t know if you have given your life to God yet either. You have to make a choice, we all do, and if your choice is not to seriously give your whole life to God, and let Him make the changes in you that will make you more like Him, then the choice is for the devil. God never forces, but loves you and wants to have you with Him forever. But whatever you choose, He will honour that choice. So make the decision. If you choose God, speak to Him and tell Him what you just told me, and ask Him to forgive you and to keep the devil away from you. God is the only Being stronger than the devil, so you know you are safe with Him. And when you belong to Him, He forgives you for anything you have done, so you are free from the devil’s things.
