Because you are not giving me a real situation to work with, and merely a theoretical one, I have no idea what you have in mind. I imagine it would be like murdering Hitler in order to prevent the extermination of millions of people. Many would hail you as a hero, but in the process we are saying that God is incapable of preventing the death of the millions, and we should therefore help Him.
If you are a subscriber to situational ethics, where the end justifies any means, then the above scenario is exactly what you would do. But for the true Christian deliberate sin is never an option. God hates sin and tells us to do the same, without exception. God is ultimately in control of the world and we should therefore trust that God has a reason for allowing certain things to happen. Also, God says that He is able to make good come from a terrible situation.
Psalm 5:5 The boastful shall not stand in Your sight; You hate all workers of iniquity.
Psalm 97:10 You who love the LORD, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.
Romans 8: 28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
If we look at the lives of those in the Bible who tried to “help” God, such as Abraham who took Hagar as wife in order to have a son, it always is a disaster. If Abraham could see the problems in the Middle East today between the descendants of his two sons, he would never have taken the path he did. “Helping God” is never a good idea, because firstly we tell Him that we don’t trust the way He is doing things, and secondly we tell him that we know better than He does what to do, in spite of His omniscience.
Don’t try to rationalise sin – that is the devil’s way. Trust God that He will accomplish things in His time and in His way, and don’t do evil to try and accomplish good. God bless as you allow Him to do things His way!
