Question:

I want to know about can I go to college and can I do studies on the Sabbath day and can I work in that day?

Answer:

The Sabbath was created by God as a special day, a different day from all the rest, to have a 24-hour period for rest and special communion with Him. If you study or work on it, your Sabbath is not special, it is just the same as the other school days, because you are studying. Also, there is no rest time and your brain will be overworked. What you are actually doing when you decide to study on Sabbath, is you don’t trust God to give you the brain capacity to learn everything you need to know in the other six days of the week. I have a close relative who was studying medicine, and decided from the start to do no studying from Friday just before sunset, to Sunday morning. All his friends told him that he could not make it on that study schedule, but he stuck at it. He is now a doctor, and has become a medical specialist, without studying one day of his medical degrees. If you take God at His word, and rest and enjoy the Sabbath as He wants you to do, He will help you to get through your exams, probably better than you would do if you studied on Sabbath. Trust God!

Philippians 4:19   And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 58     13 “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy day of the Lord honorable, and shall honor Himnot doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words14 then you shall delight yourself in the Lord …

Exodus 20     Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holySix days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.

11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.”

Proverbs 3     Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil.

Once you have broken the Sabbath, it just becomes easier every time, and soon it will mean nothing to you. Do what God asks you to do, enjoy the Sabbath and the rest time, and you will see what God will do.

God bless as you choose to follow Him all the way!
