Question:

Am I not truly saved if I want more in life along with being a follower of Jesus? Like if I’m not content with just living the way I am and I want more for myself what does that make me? I’m depressed and alone. Am I not allowed to feel incomplete? I think I’m doing all the right stuff I’m reading my Bible every morning and I’m praying whenever I feel convicted too Why do we Christians finish last you know what I mean?

Answer:

When you’re in heaven with God, perfect in every way, in a perfect place, you will know that Christians actually are the winners. It is only here in this sinful world, where success is measured in dollars, that we seem to be last, but that is just the devil’s illusion. What we are doing here is getting to know God, and preparing to live with Him forever. God says that if you seek Him and His kingdom first, all the other things that are important here, will be added, as you need them.

Colossians 2     Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to ChristFor in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

Matthew 6     31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

John 14     1 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.

2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

Matthew 28:20   “… I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Jesus said that He came to earth to give us life, eternal life, and that He wants us to have an abundant life here, full of happiness and contentment, preparing for the perfect life that waits for us. The Bible also tells us that we are only complete in Jesus, and that we are never alone. God is always with us, and He tells us that we are loved, and that He will never leave us.

John 10:10   “The thief (the devil) does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Matthew 11     28 Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Proverbs 3     5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Philippians 4     6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)   “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

1 Timothy 2     For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviorwho desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

2 Peter 3:9   The Lord is … not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Jeremiah 31:3   The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an

everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.”

Hebrews 13:5   Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

The following passage is Jesus talking to His Father, and saying that for us to have eternal life, we must know Him (Jesus) and God the Father.

John 17:3    “And this is eternal life—that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.”

To get to know God, we must be in a close personal relationship with Him, so please watch the following video, even if you’ve seen it before, and learn how to grow your relationship with Him. The SECRET to Living a Good Christian Life: https://bit.ly/goodchristianlife

With God close to you, you will never be lonely again, never feel as if you are a loser or standing last in the line. I’m praying for you! God bless as you make Him your best Friend!
