Question:
Answer:
The only reason you are afraid of the judgment, is that you have a wrong concept of God. God loves you more than you can imagine, He wants you to be saved, He knows that you are a sinner and it makes no difference to His love for you. God does not condemn us for our sins, because He is aware that we are born in sin, and cannot change ourselves. That is the reason why Jesus came to earth to take upon Himself every one of your sins, and pay the penalty for it on the cross. God gives you salvation if you give yourself to Him, and He does not hold your sins against you. Look at the following passages of Scripture.
1 John 4:8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to
cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Isaiah 53 4 Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
11 He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous
Servant shall justify many, for He shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong, because He poured out His soul unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
2 Corinthians 5:21 For He (God the Father) made Him who knew no sin (Jesus) to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
Hebrews 9:28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.
John 17:23 (NLT) “ I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.”
Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.”
Hebrews 13:5 …. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Ephesians 2 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of your-selves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
You truly have nothing to fear in the judgment. If you love God, and are in a close personal relationship with Him, then you are His child, and He wants you to be with Him forever. God does not want to keep us out of heaven, He wants us to be with Him forever, face-to-face. His gift to you is eternal life with Him, and it does not need to be earned. Nobody can earn salvation, Jesus paid for it already.
1 Timothy 2 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is … not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
John 5:24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment,but has passed from death into life.”
2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Look at this final passage. It says that judgment was make in favour of the saints. If you worship God, love Him with all your heart, then judgment is just a confirmation that you belong to God, forever. Put away your fears, God loves you!
Daniel 7:22 until the Ancient of Days came, and a judgment was made in favor of the
saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom.
God bless as you study this and rejoice in your salvation!
