Question:

Is it a sin to listen to goth music and being a goth person?

Answer:

From what I have seen, being a Goth is almost a religion, it changes your whole life. Is that what you want? You are asking a Christian this question, so I am assuming that you are a Christian too. For a Christian, there is nothing but Christ. We should show how much we love God by our actions, our talk, our clothes, our music, everything. We should reflect the love of Jesus in all that we say, do or don’t do. Will that be the case if you are a Goth? From what I’ve seen, I don’t think so.

John 17:3   And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”

John 17:23 (NLT)    I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.”

Jeremiah 31:3    The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.”

Hebrews 13:5   …. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

2 Peter 3:9   The Lord is … not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

2 Corinthians  3:18    But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 10:31   Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

But God created each one of us with the power of free choice, so this is an instance where you have to choose, to follow Jesus 100%, or to do something that will probably pull you away from Him, in the long run. But whatever choice you make, God will not love you any less, and will always be trying to draw you to Him, so that you can spend eternity with Him, face-to-face. Your choice!

God bless as you make the correct choice!
