Question:
Answer:
You are in a very difficult situation, but please don’t think that God has abandoned you. God knows your circumstances, your decision to keep the Sabbath, and He loves you with all His heart. He will never leave you nor forsake you, and He will help you to get through this. I have been praying for you, and your mom, and will keep on praying until the situation changes. And be assured that God will never condemn you for doing something that you are forced to do, when you know that it is wrong. He knows your heart, and also knows that you want to follow Him completely, so relax, God is on your side!
Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.”
Hebrews 13:5 …. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Your parents are always your parents, no matter what they believe or do. And the Bible, as you know, tells us to honour our parents. We may differ from them in beliefs, but as long as we are under their roof, there is not much that can be done, but respect and honour them, and
obey them, or at least ask them if you can live according to your own beliefs. But if they refuse, there is very little that you can do but obey, until you are old enough to go out on your own and live your own life. The important thing is to not rebel against your mom, but to never stop praying for her, asking God to speak to her heart and change her, or at least for her to let you live in the way that you believe is right. Pray also that God will help you to live in a way that will show God living in you, so that your mom will want to change and be like you. God can do amazing things!
Proverbs 3 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
1 Thessalonians 5 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Keep on praying, and I will pray for you and your mom as well, and ask others to pray as well. God bless!
