Question:

What should I do to convert my religion to Christianity?

Answer:

All you have to do is talk to God, and tell Him that you want to follow Him. Just talk to Him like you would to a friend, because that is what He wants to be. The big thing is that you should believe, is that Jesus, the Son of God, came down from heaven to become a human, and take upon Himself the sins of all of humanity, yours included, and died the death on the cross, that every sinner should die. He took your sins, and now gives you His righteousness, so that you can have salvation and eternal life with Him. Look at the passages below.

John 3     14 “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

Romans 10     … if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

John 5:24   “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.”

1 John 1:9    If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Galatians 4     But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son,
born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law,
that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out,  “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Romans 8     16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirsheirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

Galatians 3:29   And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Matthew 25:34   Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”

Matthew 19:29   And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.”

Hebrews 1:14   Are they (angels) not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

Ephesians 2     For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of Godnot of works, lest anyone should boast.

From the Bible passages, you can see that when you believe in Jesus, you can be forgiven when you fall into sins, all you have to do is pray and ask for forgiveness. You are also adopted as a child of God, and as His child, you are an heir, and as an heir you are given an inheritance from God. That inheritance is free, a gift from God to His child, and it is eternal life with Him, face-to-face in a perfect place, forever.

All you must continue to do, is begin and grow a close personal relationship with Jesus, by spending time with Him every day. Talk to Him in prayer, telling Him everything about yourself, your sins, problems, addictions, hopes, dreams and everything else, and then allow Him to talk to you, by reading His Word, the Bible. In this way there is a two-way communication between you, building a solid, close, personal relationship. And then join a good church, get involved, and let God lead you in your whole life.

I hope that this makes sense to you. God bless!
