Question:

Im 14 and my pastor said that i can preach at sunday school. Im preaching at church on Sunday  and i don’t know what to preach about.

Answer:

There is one thing that is the most important, and that is that Jesus died for our sins on the cross. Without that, we have no hope, so that is what people most need to hear. Preach about the Son of God, who loves us so much, that He was willing to lay aside His divinity, and become a man, so that He could take upon Himself all of our sins, and pay the penalty for them by His death. Here are some passages of Scripture.

1 Corinthians 2:2   For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

John 3     14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 17:3   And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”

Isaiah 53     Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

11 He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous

Servant shall justify many, for He shall bear their iniquities.

12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong, because He poured out His soul unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

2 Corinthians 5:21   For He (God the Father) made Him who knew no sin (Jesus) to be sin

for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

1 Peter 2:24      who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

Hebrews 9:28   so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

Galatians 2:20   I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

John 17:23 (NLT)    I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.”

Jeremiah 31:3    The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.”

Hebrews 13:5   …. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Ephesians 2     For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of your-selves; it is the gift of Godnot of works, lest anyone should boast.

God bless as you preach about Jesus on the cross!
