Question:

What do you think that would have happened if the originator of sin had been a man instead of an angel? And I remember some Bible verses that talk about other worlds; if it was so, why did Satan fall on this Earth and not on another planet?

Answer:

It doesn’t help to speculate on what would have happened if a human had first started sin, the fact is that sin started in heaven, right next to God! Amazing that the covering cherub, the closest to God, chose to stop looking at God, and started looking at his own beauty and splendour. And God could have destroyed Lucifer right there and then, but then everyone else in the universe would not have known what horrors sin causes.

As Adam and Eve were given a place where their loyalty to God could be tested – the tree of the knowledge of good and evil – I imagine that every other world was given a similar test, but chose to follow God. And so, earth has become the place where God’s battle with Satan will eventually come to an end, and the devil’s accusations against God will be proven to be untrue. Never again will sin be allowed to rise up, because we will be the ones who will proclaim for eternity the horrors of sin that Jesus saved us from, and tell every being in the universe.

Finally, don’t be too hard on Adam and Eve. Satan managed to persuade a third of the heavenly angels, perfect beings, to follow him, so his powers of deception are exceptional. And that is why we should stay very close to God, and allow Him to take care of the devil’s lies and deceptions. Without God we are sunk.

I trust that this makes sense to you. God bless!

Revelation 12:9

So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
