Question:
Answer:
The Bible states that we have two choices; either we give our lives over to God and accept His great gift of an everlasting life with Him, in a sinless, painless, perfect environment, or we die for ever, perishing for eternity. These two choices are clearly stated in the most-quoted Bible verse, John 3: 16, and also in other passages:
John 3: 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Romans 6: 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God forces no-one to go either to heaven or to hell, but gives each person a free choice, together with all the information necessary to make the correct choice. The story of God’s love for us, and what action He has taken in order to give us eternal life as a free gift, is clearly given in the Bible. We don’t have to try and earn our passage to heaven, the price has already been paid by Jesus’ death on the cross.
Romans 8: 14 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
Ephesians 2 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
John 5: 24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
So why would we want to perish in hell when we have a free gift from a merciful God? Why choose hell when you can have a perfect life with Him for the rest of eternity? Hell is only an option, not a certainty, and heaven is a free gift from God. So why choose hell when a mansion is being made ready in heaven for your presence? Logically there is only one rational choice to make: give your life to God and get ready to go to heaven! God bless as you study these passages of Scripture and confirm the right decision: eternal life with God!
God bless as you study these passages of Scripture, and find the true spiritual gifts, as the Holy Spirit blesses you!
